STEM Time with Mrs. Crawford!

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics. She has had the opportunity so far to complete activities with the first and fourth grades. In first grade, students made "Sound Sandwiches." They read the story, "Trombone Shorty" and learned how vibrations can make sound. Fourth grade students completed an exciting adventure too! They got to experiment with elastic rubber bands to measure the distance of a toy car using fractions on a tape measure. Elasticity, distance, and force were the focus for this lesson! This group got to explore these elements along with additional weight that might affect how far a toy car will actually go.
